Jeffrey J. Mills

Jeffrey J. Mills, a beloved member of the Eldridge community, passed away on May 18th.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Denette, sons Austin of Eldridge and Preston of Denver, CO, mother Betty Mills of Albany, IL, sisters, Dale Ernst of Port Byron, IL, and Jaqueline (Kevin) Hersey of St. Charles, IL.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mills and sister, Deborah Hersey.

He enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, and baseball, particularly supporting the Cubs. Jeff was an avid automotive enthusiast, and also liked cooking and trying out new recipes.

An informal gathering to celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be held at the Quality Inn, 1000 E Iowa Street, Eldridge (next to Hardee’s), on Saturday, June 8th from noon - 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Genesis Healthcare Hospice team.

Jeff will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
