Judy K. Sonksen, 83, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois.

Per her wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy’s name may be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue of Davenport, Iowa. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judy was born April 21, 1942 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Dewey Van & Freda (Grant) Willhite. She was united in marriage to Marshall K. Sonksen on September 2, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Judy was retired from John Deere where she was a Finance Account Manager.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband Marshall; her sons, Marlowe (Nancy) Sonksen of Pittsboro, North Carolina and Monte (Lisa) Sonksen of Bettendorf; her granddaughter, Chelsea Sonksen and her children, Theo and Luca; her grandson, Matt Skidmore and his son, Ryder and her beloved cat, Sonny.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Aleisha Sonksen; and her brother, Darrell Willhite.
