Junior Abbott, 85, a resident of Pleasant Valley, Iowa died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at his daughter’s home in Geneseo, Illinois
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
Junior was born January 10, 1923 in Hartford, Missouri the son of George Riley and Emma Frances (Cassidy) Abbott.
He was retired from the Alcoa Company, Davenport Works where he was employed for 28 years.
Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Nancy Colflesh of Geneseo, Illinois; his sons, Stanley Abbott and Gary Abbott of Donahue, Iowa; his four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and his brother, Journey Abbott of Davenport.
