Kathleen M. Kaiser

Kathleen Margaret Kaiser, 81, of Bettendorf, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at her residence. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a private family inurnment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
     
Kathleen was born April 4, 1942 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, to Lester and Miranda (McKernan) Kammerude. Following high school, she attended college and took several college courses over the years.  On September 22, 1962, she married James Austin Kaiser in Dubuque, Iowa.  She was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf, where she served as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, and taught CCD classes.  Over the years, Kathleen worked in various positions as a hairdresser, bank teller, and hospital and nursing home volunteer.  She enjoyed bowling, playing Euchre, volleyball, baseball, fishing, gardening, and canning.  She was truly a Jack of all trades and a Master of none! Above all, she was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma.
       
She is survived by her children, Lynette (Dr. Thomas) Jodon, Dennis  Kaiser, Ann (J.L.) Williams, Alan (Julie) Kaiser, Kim (Joe) Yandoli, Lori (Jeff Monroe) Kaiser, Greg (Betsy) Kaiser; special daughter-in-law, Denise (Tom) Canfield;  siblings, Anthony (Patricia) Kammerude, David (Peg) Kammerude, and Mike Kammerude; brother-in-law, William (Ellen) Kaiser; sister-in-law, Mary Kammerude; several nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren, Austin (Kelly) Jodon, Jared (Sara) Jodon, Tyler (Michelle) Jodon, Dereck (Erica) Kaiser, Dayton (Alexandra Stender) Kaiser, Brandon (Kendra) VanBlaricome, Laken Williams, Jordan Williams, Sarah (Scottie) Kailer, Samantha Kaiser, Dustin Kaiser, Justin (Morgan Lomas) Yandoli, Kirsten Yandoli, Katelyn (Thatcher) Mullanack, Morgan Kaiser, Owen Kaiser and 16 great-grandchildren, Lane, Nora, Leon, and Ruby Jodon, Hailey and William Kaiser, Halle and Ava VanBlaricome, Landon and Dean Williams, Madison, Nathan, and Logan Kailer, Thatcher Jr. and Elowynn Mullanack, Koda Kaiser-Pierce.  
       
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, James; eight siblings, Darlene (LeRoy) Magby, Gertrude (Richard) Leslein, Robert (Velma) Kammerude, Teresa (Melvin) Donar, Kenneth Kammerude, Donald Joseph Kammerude, Patricia Williams, Joan Kammerude; grandson, Dustin Kaiser; and several nieces and nephews.
