Kathleen M. Lyon, 64, of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Mercy One Genesis, Davenport.

      Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m on Friday, July 24th at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter or to the Humane Society of Scott County.

      Kathleen was born on March 30, 1962 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Marion and Doris (Clubb) Owings Jr. She graduated in 1980 from Central DeWitt High School and later achieved her bachelor’s degree in English education. On February 16, 2001, she married Donald Lyon in Davenport. Kathleen worked as a billing specialist and in customer care for Dohrn Transfer. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, reading mystery novels, baking, and spoiling her cats.

      Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Don Lyon of Davenport; her children, Garrett (India Skinner) Lyon of Edgington, Illinois and Donelle “Doni” (Tyler Camack) Lyon of Englewood, Colorado; mother, Doris Owings of Davenport; siblings, Liz (Jon) Douglas of Parlin, New Jersey, Ken (Connie) Owings of Eldridge, and Ed (Sally) Owings of Williamsburg, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Owings Jr.
