Keira A.
La Grange
January 3, 2007 – May 8, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Keira Anne La Grange age 19, of Davenport, who left this world far too soon on May 8, 2026.
Keira was a student at Scott Community College, where she continued pursuing her education to be a teacher and wanted to be a writer while building lasting friendships and memories. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a book in hand, and she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends.
During her years at Davenport Central High School class of 2025, Keira was deeply involved in school activities and organizations. She participated in orchestra, marching band, bowling, and diversity clubs, bringing enthusiasm and energy wherever she went. One of her proudest experiences was traveling with the marching band to London to perform in the 2023 New Year’s Parade, an adventure she cherished and spoke of often. As an avid traveler, Keira recently returned from a trip to Taiwan with her Grandma La Grange and cousin Mahina. In 2018 she was active in Scouts of America where she earned many merit badges and earned the Rank of Life.
As a child, Keira lived life fearlessly and fully. She loved climbing trees, riding bikes, hunting and fishing with Grandma and Grandpa La Grange and spending countless hours playing softball and soccer. She also enjoyed baking for those she loved, especially her famous chocolate chip pancakes and brownies, which always brought smiles to family and friends.
Keira had a personality that could never be forgotten. She was ornery in the most lovable way — spirited, stubborn at times, and full of humor — but beneath it all was a heart that was deeply caring and sweet. She was always willing to help anyone at the drop of a dime and had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Though her time here was brief, the impact Keira made on those around her will last forever. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Adrianne (Dave Ford) Davis and David (DeAnna Kriz) La Grange; siblings, Crystal La Grange and Colton La Grange; grandparents, Allan and Shumiao La Grange, Allen Davis, Tammy Davis, Dave and Barb Ford; aunts and uncles; friends, classmates, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
A visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Memorials may be directed to the Center for Asthma Research at Vanderbilt University or to the Humane Society of Scott County.
In honor of Keira, the family encourages everyone to cherish time with loved ones, share kindness freely, and never pass up an opportunity to make memories together.
