Kenneth Asay Jr.

There will be no services for Kenneth R. Asay Jr., 77, of Bettendorf. Kenneth passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport.

McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.

Kenneth was born on July 2, 1943 in Lemore, CA, the son of Kenneth and Marietta (Scharff) Asay. He married Sue Unwin on October 19, 1963 in LeClaire, Iowa. He worked as a pipefitter for Alcoa for 39 years, retiring in 2001.

He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed fishing on Johnson Lake in Minnesota, woodworking and eating breakfast at Jimmy’s Pancake House.

He is survived by his wife; Sue, of Bettendorf, daughter; Stefanie (Todd) Rohler and their children, Brock (Riley) Rohler, Cade Rohler, son;  Jeff (Michelle Johnson) Asay and his children, Lauren Asay and Logan Asay, sister; Marlene (Thomas) McCullough and nephews: Dennis Wood and Chris Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Brad Asay.
