Kevin M. Lamfers

Kevin M. Lamfers, 53, a resident of rural Princeton, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his home of natural causes. 

Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Private family graveside services will be at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in rural Princeton.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for donations to Princeton community facilities and organizations.

Kevin was born on July 21, 1970 in Ashton, Iowa, the son of Monte and Margaret (Schierholt) Las.  On June 20, 2015, he was united in marriage to Sue Hamilton in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

He was employed in the Parts Department of Green GMC in Davenport, Iowa.

Kevin was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed watching NASCAR.  He was the type of person who was always willing to lend a hand to others wherever and whenever help was needed.

Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Sue; his sons, Andrew (Tammie) Lamfers of Davenport and Noah (Megan) Lamfers of Waukee, Iowa; his twin-grandchildren, Knox & Brinleigh Lamfers; his mother, Margaret Lamfers of Ashton, Iowa; his sisters, Lisa (Lyle) Huff of Ashton and Kim (Kevin) Poeckes of Sheldon, Iowa; his twin- brother, Keith (Joni) Lamfers of Ames, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.       

He was preceded in death by his father in 2005.
