Linda Sue Cooney (Barnett), 73, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Linda was born February 25, 1953 in Brighton, Iowa to John Anderson

Barnett and Wanda Beatrice Kahl.

Linda was fiercely independent, strong-willed, funny, and always capable of making her family laugh. She was an avid lover of Elvis Presley, rock and roll, and above everything else, her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two children:

Jennifer and Adam Cooney, and 2 sisters. She is survived by 4 children: Deborah (Roger) Cooney and Michael Cooney of Davenport, Melissa (Laura) Cooney of Bellingham, WA and Robert Cooney of Dyersburg, TN.

Linda also leaves behind grandchildren Justin, Matthew, Cory, Jacob, and 4 others as well as 6 great-grandchildren.

Linda is deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
