A celebration of life for Lisa Maude (Buchheit) Williams (Silverthorn), 57, of Eldridge, IA, will be Friday, April 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA. 

Lisa Maude (Buchheit) Williams (Silverthorn), 58, of Eldridge, IA, formerly of Le Claire, passed away peacefully at her home in Eldridge on March 26, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Lisa was born in Davenport, IA on May 28, 1966. After a fulfilling 16-year marriage to Steven Silverthorn, which gave them their lovely daughter, Kara Silverthorn, Lisa married Steven Williams in 2006 and spent the last 16 years happily married in Eldridge. She medically retired after a 25-year career with the United States Postal Service in Eldridge. 

She loved music, gardening, rescuing animals, and spending time with her family and friends. 

She was survived by her daughter, Kara Silverthorn, partner Steve Williams, sister Elizabeth (Joe) Ackerman, best friends Scott and Yolanda Edwards (Dewitt, IA), Gwen Trent (Oakbrook, CA), and Kathy Coffman (Eldridge, IA).

She was proceeded in death by her sister Cathy Buchheit, brother Francis Murray “Boo” Buchheit, parents Loretta and Francis “Bill” Buchheit, best friends Steve Silverthorn and Lyn (Drury) Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kings Harvest Animal Shelter or Camp Courageous for Challenged Youth in honor of Cathleen Buchheit.

The family would like to thank Genesis Hospice for their care.
