Loretta Kaye Hartz, 79, a resident of LeClaire, Iowa passed away at her home on Saturday, November 23rd surrounded by her beloved family.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
She was born in Davenport, Iowa on October 31, 1945, the daughter of Frederick Otto and Catherine Elizabeth (Hoffstetter) Haessler. On July 14, 1962, she was united in marriage to Richard L. Hartz at the LeClaire Presbyterian Church.
Loretta was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom & grandma who will be greatly missed, but always remembered by those who loved her.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard; her daughter, Kristine Trujillo of LeClaire; her sons, Kevin (Danna) Hartz of LeClaire, Kenneth (Andrea) Hartz of LeClaire, Keith Hartz of Princeton, Iowa, Kurtis (Raquel) Hartz of Dixon, Iowa and Kraig (Amy) Hartz of LeClaire; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; her sister, Karen (William) Welter of Central City, Iowa; her brothers, Ed (Barb) Haessler of LeClaire, LeRoy (Wanda) Haessler of Davenport, Iowa, Robert Haessler of LeClaire and Duayne (Anna) Haessler of LeClaire; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Hartz; her son-in-law, Tim Trujillo; and her great-grandson, Raiden Hartz.
