Luther Cash Jr.

Memorial services for Luther Coy Cash Jr., 56, of Davenport, will be 10:00 am on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Inurnment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa at a later date. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Luther passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home in Davenport, Iowa. Luther was born on October 20, 1965, Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Luther and Patricia (Swayne) Cash. He graduated from Central High School in 1984. Luther married Wendy Vander Wilt on May 29, 1987, Davenport, Iowa.

Luther worked at Akzo Nobel in Pontiac, Michigan for 22 years in research and development, then moved to Iowa and worked as an assembler at the John Deere Davenport Works for 10 years. He enjoyed collecting comic books, action figures, football and baseball cards and he was an avid Vikings fan.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy, of Davenport, Iowa, Rev. Luther (Leah) Cash III of Pontiac, Michigan, Logan Cash of Davenport, Iowa, Lillian Cash of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Isaac Cash and Titus Cash; sister, Heidi (Michael) Myers of Davenport, Iowa, and brothers, Gary Cash and Ben Cash, both of Davenport, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Elijah Cash.
