Marcia Hamilton

A service to celebrate the life of Marcia Hamilton, 78, of Bettendorf, will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, IA. Family will meet friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.

Marcia passed away on September 30, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport, IA. Marcia Groth was born on July 13, 1944, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Wilbur and Lois (Trickle) Groth. She married Edward Hamilton (Roxanne) in Whitewater, WI. They were later divorced.

Employment at Farmall in Moline, moved to J.I. Case as a foreman then Alcoa as a foreman for approximately 15 years, retiring in 2007.

Marcia looked forward to the Local Car Club Shows, where she became absolute best friends with PAT (Patricia) who has been Mom's rock in Life. Thank You Pat for all you have shared with Mom. her Love for the outdoors was beyond compare and making many various Christmas Cookie for her dear neighbors, Friends, and even strangers was a passion. she helped everyone.

Survivors include her daughter; Jodi (John) Hamilton-Cole of San Antonio, TX, son; Steve Hamilton of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren; Keith Thompson, Travis Cole, Shelby Cole, Samantha Hamilton, William Hamilton, Matthew Allen, Jeremy Allen, brothers; Paul (Cathy) Groth, Roger (Sandy) Groth, Ronald Groth, sister; Barbara Hicks of San Antonio, TX, close friend; Patricia Schladt of Davenport, and many car club friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Penny Hamilton- Allen.
