Marcia E. Schricker

Marcia E. Schricker, 74, of Bettendorf passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at her residence.

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Marcia was born on December 4, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil and Doris (Jackson) Gruetzmacher. Following high school, she achieved her certificate in secretarial science. On December 14, 1992, she married Christian “Chris” Schricker in Davenport. Marcia enjoyed traveling and always cherished the memories of her trip to Hawaii with her siblings. Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, meant the world to her. 

Those left to honor her memory are her son, Kenneth (Stephanie) Shuppy of Clinton, Iowa; her grandchildren, MyKenna, Dylan, and Sophia Shuppy; sisters, Judy Carroll and Laura Embree; brothers, Paul Gruetzmacher and Jeff Gruetzmacher; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Sandy Musal; and brother, Steven Gruetzmacher.
