Margaret I. Hesse

Margaret I. Hesse, 94, a resident of Pleasant Valley, Iowa died on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel in Bettendorf, Iowa. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Riverview Manor Residents/Staff Christmas Party Fund.
She was born December 17, 1913 in Dannebrog, Nebraska, the beloved daughter of Walter & Minnie (Williamsen) Nielsen. On September 19, 1937, she was united in marriage to Orville J. Hesse in Pleasant Valley. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2007.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother & homemaker and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley. In later years, Margaret & Orville resided in Sebring, Florida where she was a charter member of the Women of the Moose Auxiliary.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Constance Curlott of LeClaire; her son, Dennis (Martha) Hesse of Arlington Heights, Illinois; her grandchildren, Suzanne Bratcher of LeClaire, Roxanne (Jeff) Gentry of Long Grove, Iowa and Mark (Chris) Hesse in Minnesota; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Marian, Vera Mae, Julia & Ethel; her brothers, Elmer, Ralph, Eugene & Paul; a great-grandson; and her son-in-law, George Curlott.
