Marie A. Meister Quick

      Marie A. Meister-Quick, 89, of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Senior Star, Davenport.

      Private family services will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, is assisting the family with arrangements.

      Marie was born on April 14, 1936 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of John and Nona (Klawon) St. Clair. She married Donald Quick Sr. on November 11, 1993 in Davenport. Marie worked as a waitress at the former El Rancho Restaurant in Bettendorf, and in food service at the Davenport School District and Rock Island Arsenal.

      Those left to honor her memory are her children, Renee (Mike) Brown of Luling, Louisiana and Raymond (Eileen) Meister of Davenport; five grandchildren, Katherine (Jake) Kelley, Sarah (William) Cann, Rebecca (Roger) Calix, John Brown, and William Brown; four great-grandchildren, Anna “Dani” Kelley, Ryan and Weston Cann, and Daniel Calix; and her sister, Connie Bingman of Sarasota, Florida.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 2013.

      The family would like to thank Mikayla, Jessie, and the rest of the staff at Senior Star for their exceptional care and compassion during Marie’s stay.
