Visitation will be on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at First Baptist Church, 3593 Middle Rd, Bettendorf, IA 52722.

The memorial service for Marylin Ruth Swank, 94, of Bettendorf, will be at 10:30 am. Immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, IA.

Marylin passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Kahl Home, Davenport, IA.

Marylin Ruth Jaegel was born on January 23, 1932, in Middleton, OH, the daughter of Clem and Sadie (Cox) Jaegel. She married Wayne Swank on December 15, 1990, at First Baptist Church in Bettendorf, IA. She worked as the church secretary. She enjoyed walking the Bix for many years with her husband Wayne, and they enjoyed antiquing. She passed her love of dogs on to her daughter, Beverly. She will be very missed.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne of Bettendorf; her daughter, Bev (David) Smith of Bettendorf; and her step-sons, Jim Swank and Jeff Swank, both of Bettendorf, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Bettendorf, IA, or the Kahl Home, Davenport.

The family thanks Sr. Constance and the Staff at the Kahl Home for making her last years so wonderful. We also want to thank Compassus Hospice Care of Davenport.
