Michael A. Meek, 70, of Princeton, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd at Three 33 Bar and Grill in Princeton, Iowa. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael was born on September 20, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Virgil and Barbara (Shelangoski) Meek. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1974. On March 29, 1985, he married Mary Beam in Davenport. Michael worked as a laborer and foreman at Tri City Blacktop for over 30 years and later worked for the City of LeClaire until his retirement. He had a strong work ethic, but in his spare time enjoyed having a couple beers with his friends and spending time with his family and cats.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Mary Meek of Princeton; his son, Kevin (Amber) Meek of Grand Mound, Iowa; two granddaughters, Avery and Riley Meek; a brother, Don (Anne) Meek of Donahue, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Larry Meek and JoAnn Krebs.
