Michael A. Podolski

Michael A. Podolski, 68, a resident of Park View, Iowa died on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born January 22, 1937 in Savanna, Illinois, the son of Francis “Frank” & Virginia Mary (Rose) Podolski. On October 20, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sandra S. Hall in Corinth, Mississippi.
Michael was employed as a clerk for the Milwaukee Railroad, the Sioux Line Railroad and the Canadian-Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1995 after 42 years of service.
He & his wife loved to travel. Michael was a familiar figure taking daily walks in their Park View neighborhood.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Sandra; his daughters & sons-in-law, Tammy & Tony Deutscher of Thomson, Illinois, Sheryl & Richard Taylor of Kewaunee, Wisconsin and Renee & Bill Stebbins of Savanna; his son & daughter-in-law, Carey & Yolanda Podolski of Savanna; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his brother & sister-in-law, Shawn & Linda Podolski of Lakeview, Arkansas.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
