Miriam A. "Mimi" Phillips

Miriam A. “Mimi” Phillips, 72, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis in Davenport.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Visitation will be held an hour before services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Memorials may be made to the family

Mimi was born October 3, 1952, the daughter of Erwin and Jean (Barrie) Eichhorn. She was united in marriage to “Skip” Phillips on October 2, 1974. Mimi had been employed at the Lab in the Genesis East Medical Center for over 20 years.

Mimi enjoyed drawing and reading Stephen King novels. Above all else Mimi was a dedicated mother and grandmother who spent most of her time caring for her family, whether it was sewing costumes for Halloween or effortlessly baking delicious desserts.

Those left to honor Mimi’s memory include her children, Trayn (Andrea) Phillips, Desi (Adam) Phillips and Karma Phillips; her grandchildren, Katie Phillips, Shamus Nielsen, Darien Kuhnle, Mesha Nielsen and Samael Kuhnle; a great-grandchild, Sorren Patterson; her sister, Sylvia (John) Peine; her brothers, Barrie (Betty) Eichhorn, Paul (Cynda) Eichhorn, Keith (Karen) Eichhorn and George (Shelly) Eichhorn; and many loved ones. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Erwin and Jean, and her husband “Skip."
