Nancy J. Capshaw, 77, of Bettendorf passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Alverno Senior Care in Clinton, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Memorials may be directed to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.

Nancy was born on July 14, 1948 in Davenport, the daughter of Mifflin “Meff” and Lorraine (Paustian) Funk. She graduated Bettendorf High School in 1966. Nancy worked as an office manager for various companies, including Anderson Commercial Concrete and Concrete Services. She retired in 2015. In her spare time, she enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, bowling, attending her Bettendorf High School alumni luncheons, and going to Circa 21 with her friends.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter, Julie (Brian) McCollom of Davenport; grandchildren, Alec (Alayna Lopez) Capshaw of Bettendorf, Brendan Gogulich of Bettendorf, Grant McCollom of Davenport, and Brianna McCollom of Davenport; sister, Holly Jeffrey of Oklahoma; brother, Jon Funk of Bettendorf; and nephew, Jason (Michelle) Krieger of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
