Nancy Carolyn Spray

Funeral services celebrating the life of Nancy Carolyn Spray, 89, of Bettendorf, will be 10:30 am on Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 9:30 am to service time at the church. The services will be live streamed for those who may not be able to attend.

Nancy passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at The Vistas at Bettendorf, (Formerly Iowa Masonic Health Facilities), with her loving family by her side.

Nancy was born on November 30, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Iola (Thomas) Drottz. On April 22, 1960, in Des Moines she married the love her of life James Spray. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2016.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, crocheting, reading, ceramics, watching sports and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Nancy was loved by many and will be incredibly missed.

Those left to honor her memory include; grandchildren Brandie (Scott) (Spray) Willers, Sarah Alderson, Bradley Spray, Lacey (Clayton) (Alderson) Ferris and Terrance Spray. Eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Michelle Alderson, son David Spray and one sister.
