P. June Ellett, 96, of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, formerly of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 at the Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon, Illinois.

      Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no visitation or service. Inurnment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

      June was born on June 17, 1930 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary (Walton) Adams. She married Ralph Ellett on November 14, 1953 in East Moline, Illinois. She worked as a data entry clerk at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline. June was a talented artist, crafter, and quilter. She enjoyed playing golf with her husband and cherished the time around the table, playing board games and card games. Her competitive spirit and determination to win will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

      Those left to honor her memory are her children, Karen (Randy) Vavra of Byron, Illinois, Lynn (Dan) Eggers of West Branch, Iowa, Lee (Sara) Ellett of Somis, California, and Gary (Cheryl) Ellett of Milton, Delaware; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; twin sister, Jean Hennessy; and brothers, John Adams and James (Beverly) Adams.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 2014.
