Patricia “Pat” Ann Baumbach (Hambell), a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at Clarrisa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday August 1, 2026, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Her funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. Pat will be laid to rest next to Ernie at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.

She was born on October 29, 1940, the daughter of Frieda and Rick Hambell.

On December 14. 1957, Patricia Hambell and Ernest Baumbach tied the knot in Pleasant Valley, Iowa. They celebrated 54 years of wedded bliss until the passing of Ernie, on May 8, 2012.

Pat loved camping! She made tons of memories with friends and family at Sunset Lake Resort in Joslin, Il. She really enjoyed playing Bingo and Rolle Bolle there. Pat never passed up the chance to hit up some garage sales. But being a grandma was her favorite thing ever and she was the best at it!

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Gary Baumbach of Bettendorf and Mark (Barbi) Baumbach of Pleasant Valley; her grandchildren, Tonya (Jarrad) Cockshoot of Park View, Iowa and Blake (Abby) Baumbach of Davenport; her great-grandchildren, Marlayna and Elyse Cockshoot; and many other relatives and wonderful friends. We can’t forget about her sweet mini poodle, Buffy.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, parents, Frieda and Rick Hambell, and sisters Jeanette and Joann.
