Funeral services for Patricia Hansen, 89, of Eldridge, IA, will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Cornerstone Church, Eldridge, IA. A private family inurnment will take place at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from 9:00 am to service time at the church.

Patricia passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Grand Haven Retirement Community Center, Eldridge, IA.

Patricia E. Moats was born on June 27, 1937, in Auburn, IL, the daughter of Wilbur and Margarette (Pierce) Moats. She married Wayne R. Swearinger in Auburn, IL on May 22, 1955, he preceded her in death in 1996. She then married Wayne Hansen in Parkview, IA on February 20, 1999.

She worked at Mehta Tech, Eldridge, IA for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of Cornerstone Church, Eldridge, IA. She enjoyed quilting, Facebooking, spending time with family and friends. In her early years she enjoyed bowling and traveling.

Those left to honor her memory is her husband, Wayne, of Eldridge, IA., daughters, Catherine (Gary) Wood, Regina Woodard, Step-daughter, Brenda Hansen, grandchildren, Rebekah (Wesley) Doering, Dana (Jessica) White, Jillian (Dave) Charlson, Devin (Crystal) White, Jack Tyler Woodard, great-grandchildren, Lucas, Kennedy, Ethan, Norah, Liam, Archer, Claire, Deacon and Max, a brother, Charles “Mike” Moats and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margarette Davis, Joann Moore, brothers, Wilbur “Sonny” Moats, Jerry Moats and Jesse Moats and son-in-law, Jack Woodard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Church, Eldridge, IA and Empowering Abilities (HDC), Davenport, IA.
