Patricia A. Smith

Patricia A. Smith, 88, of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Society, Davenport.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26^th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf.  Burial will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to Berean Baptist Church, Davenport.

Patricia was born on March 12, 1935 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of James C. and Naomi D. (Austin) Morris.  On July 18, 1958, she married Jack W. Smith in Davenport.  Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a true caregiver and in her earlier years, worked as a home health aide. She was an avid reader and member of Berean Baptist Church.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughter, Laurie (David) Mohr of Clinton, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kristen Byers, Rachel McLarnan, and Aaron McLarnan; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Sue Morris of Davenport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sons, Kenneth Brian Smith and James Andrew Smith; great-granddaughter, Kaya Jane Lueders; and brother, Jim Morris.
