Pauline "Pat" D. Janney

Private family services will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Free Market of the Vineyard Church of Davenport.  McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home of Bettendorf is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pauline was born July 21, 1936 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Ronald A. & Kathryn N. (Phillips) Brei.  She was united in marriage to Richard L. Janney on April 1, 1956 in Muscatine.  He preceded her in death on January 18, 1986.

A loving and devoted homemaker, Pauline enjoyed cooking, reading and watching movies.  She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and her family and always was ready to lend a hand to whomever needed help.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda & Steve Bowling of Bettendorf and Laura & Kurt Williams of Davenport; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Lisa Janney of Davenport; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and two soon to arrive; and her half-brothers, Mike and Joe Tompkins.

In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Neoma; and her great-grandson, Steven Murrell.
