Funeral services for Phyllis Annabell Gill, 92, of Davenport will be 11:00 am on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home.
Phyllis passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 4, 2025, in Davenport.
Phyllis Scott was born on January 29, 1933, in Sewal, IA, the daughter of Robert and Jessie (Christabell) Scott. She married Donald L. “Rebel” Gill on September 20, 1952. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2004. She worked for Star Medical Equipment for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star #178, Davenport. She ran the Bix for over 25 years. She enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found joy during “Club” on weekend afternoons.
Survivors include her daughters. Sheila Marolf, Cheryl & Don Trimble and Theresa Gill; her grandchildren, Mike (Janell) Schlosser, Kamiel (Adam) Smith, Brock (Katrina) DeToye, Kimberly (Jake) Chapman, Rachel (Tyler) Peterson, Nicole Patten, Eddie Patten and Luke Patten, great-grandchildren, Juliana DeToye, Emma DeToye, Resse DeToye, Adaline Smith, Ace Smith, Kaley Schlosser, Aubrey Schlosser, Huxley Gleason and Deagan Gleason.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, her sisters Imogene Levis, Bonnie Burress, Rose Marie Hecker and brothers, Tom Scott and Harry Scott.
