Rebecca A. Monteith

Rebecca A. Monteith, 60, of Bettendorf passed away on Friday, January 3, 2026 at Mercy One Genesis Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Due to circumstances cremation rites will be performed.

Rebecca was born on July 31, 1965 in Davenport, the daughter of Jerry and Sharon (Gilbert) Kingery. She worked as a visiting nurse for home health services.

Rebecca loved to watch scary movies with her son Kyle and her granddaughter Khloe. She found purpose in life with her friends from Bettendorf Healthcare, who were like family to her. She would often sit with dying friends at the nursing home so they would not be alone.

Those left to honor her memory are her children, Jena Kingery of LeClaire and Kyle Monteith of Bettendorf; granddaughter, Khloe Monteith; brother, Jerry (Cari) Kingery of Bettendorf; and niece, Elisabeth (fiancé, Trevor Kanakaras) Kingery of Wilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Aunt Anna, who was very special to Rebecca.
