Reese Hudson Ransdell

September 5, 2023 — September 5, 2023

Reese Hudson Ransdell was lovingly accepted into Jesus's arms and then finally held in his parents' arms on September 5th, 2023.
While our sorrows know no bounds, our hearts are filled with such love for our baby boy. Though we wish we could have brought him home with the joy and jubilation that was long expected, we will instead cherish his sweet, sweet memory in our hearts until the end of time. He was celebrated with light and love by his extended family with a blessing and dedication of his name.
Reese will be remembered by his loving parents, Colten and Katie Ransdell, his proud grandparents, Rich and Linda Noble (Bettendorf, IA) and Robb and Jennie Ransdell (Taylor Ridge, IL), his great-grandpa, Bud Ransdell, his auntie Erin Holst, and many other extended family members and close friends.
As the years roll by and we think about what should've been, please remember to say his name and help his family know that he is remembered and so deeply loved.

Reese, our precious boy.
He's going to bring us so much joy.
With his ten little fingers,
and ten little toes.
He's got his mommy's eyes
and his daddy's nose.

We waited for him,
for oh so long.
For more than two years,
we tried to stay strong.

Then there you were,
the answer to prayer.
God said, "Okay. The time is drawn near."
The embryo grew into a son,
You were worth all the pain
You were the one.

We painted your room.
We bought all the things.
We told all our friends about the joy you would bring.
Everyone cheered,
some even cried.
We had waited so long,
we had swallowed our pride.

Although we imagined we would have 18 years,
of watching you grow,
and calming your fears.
God had other plans
that didn't match ours.
He needed our Reese to be one of his stars.

We will always be grateful we had that one day.
To hold you, to kiss you, to stare on your face.
You were perfectly perfect,
in every way.
Except for just one,
you could not stay.

Oh Reese, our precious boy
you bring us sorrow,
along with our joy.
One thing is certain through all this unknown,
your star will be bright and our love will have shown.

We will always be parents,
You will be in our hearts.
Until we hold you again,
we are never apart.

-Shana Romero, friend of Reese's mommy
