Rena K. McPherson

      Rena Kay (Pipes) McPherson, 59, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away on November 29, 2025. A celebration of Rena’s life will be held at a later date.

      Born on Halloween in Davenport, Iowa, Rena brought warmth, humor, and a vibrant spirit to everyone who knew her. She graduated from Davenport Central High School and went on to devote her life to a career of caring for others as a Certified Nurse Medical Assistant. Rena also worked in various other medical fields over the years.Rena was a loving mother, a loyal friend, and a woman whose presence made any room feel lighter. She enjoyed playing pool with friends, crocheting handmade gifts with care, and spending time with the people she cherished most.

      She is survived by her children, William “Billy” McPherson, Robert McPherson, and Elizabeth “Liz” McPherson; and several grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Pat” McPherson; and her mother, Mildred Pipes.

      Rena’s memory will forever live in the hearts of those who loved her. As the family reflects on her life, they hold close the words: “A mother holds her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever.”
