Richard R. Miller, 67, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 13, 2010 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.
Rich was born February 14, 1943 in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Willis M. & Madeline R. (Reed) Miller. He was united in marriage to Pam J. Pietcher on June 12, 1971 in Rock Island, Illinois.
Rich had been employed as a machinist for Auto-Ron’s in Davenport and formerly for the Car Shop in Moline. He enjoyed building and racing stock cars over the years and was well-known amongst other enthusiasts.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Pam; his daughters, Laurie Miller of Des Moines, Iowa and Melissa Fry of Orlando, Florida; his son, Jeff Miller of Davenport; his brothers, John & Jeannette Miller of Grand Bay, Alabama, Gerald & Nancy Miller of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Gary Miller of Davenport and Kevin & Claudia Miller of Atlanta, Georgia; and his granddaughter, Brooke Morgan.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents.
