Robert Beth

Robert C. Beth, 88, a resident of Vero Beach, Florida died on May 25, 2024 in Vero Beach.  Robert, who was known as Ron, Ronald or Bob was born Jan 6, 1936.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa.  Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Davenport.  Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 10210, 815 Louisiana Ave. in Sebastian, FL 32958.

He was preceded in death by his parents Irwin and Stella Beth, siblings, Buddy( Irwin Jr.) Eugene, Richard, and Marylyn.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 50 years, Michael York. They were married in Hawaii, the first opportunity it was legal in the USA. Bob was an auto mechanic working on Chryslers until he retired. He was a NASCAR fan, and after his military service during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the Army, he serviced and raced cars.  

They loved to travel and have traveled to Hawaii over 25 times. Mike and Ron have visited Western Europe, Most of Central America, the Caribbean Islands, Australia, Fiji, Tahiti, all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico. They completed their 49th cruise this year. He also loved his dogs Sassy, Jasmine, Cheyenne, and Snopaw.

They moved to Vero Beach in 2009.
