Robert L. Hartog, 84, of Maquoketa, died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born August 19, 1932 in Davenport, the son of Carl “Hans” & Margaret (Patch) Hartog. He was united in marriage to Gloria M. Gapinski in LeClaire in 1949. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1993.
He was a carpenter with Carpenter’s Local #4, joining on May 6, 1963.
Those left to honor his memory include his grandson, Heath Hartog; his great-grandson, Jackson Hartog; his sister-in-law, Pat Gapinski; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Gloria, Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Susan Hartog; and his son, David Hartog.
