There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Long Grove Fire Station for Robert Lee Roe, 69, of Long Grove, IA. Bob passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Davenport. Bob was born on October 3, 1956, in Davenport, the son of Jim and Lulu (Walker) Roe. He married Carol Gertz on April 2, 1977, at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge, IA. In his early years he worked at Huebotters Furniture Co as a furniture restorer. He then worked as a commercial industrial painter for Local Union #676 and then became their business agent for seven years before retiring in October of 2018. In his retirement, he operated “Bob's Bees” and enjoyed mentoring people about bees.

He was a member of Local Union #676, the Quad City Bee Keeping Club and the Mississippi Wood Carvers Club, Davenport. He enjoyed woodcarving, gardening and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of Long Grove, sons, Justin of Blue Grass, Joshua (Amy Shannon) of Long Grove, grandchildren, Andrew and Trenton of Long Grove.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Roe.
