Robert Joseph Trauffer

A celebration of life service for Robert J. Trauffer, 90, of Davenport, IA will be at a later date at the river. Robert passed away on December 24, 2023, at the Bickford of Davenport Assisted Living Center, Davenport.

        Robert Joseph Trauffer was born on December 9, 1933, in Davenport, IA, the son of Peter and Frances (Sharrar) Trauffer. He married Wanda Letterman in Davenport on October 18, 1952, she preceded him in death. He then married Carol Fick-Dohrmann in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 18, 1981, she preceded him in death. He loved fishing for Bass and was a member of the Quad City Bass Club.

        Survivors include his son, Jeff (Cindy) Trauffer of Davenport, daughter, Becky (Tom) Holling of Coal Valley, IL, Terry Trauffer of Davenport, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sister, Sue (Mike) Polich of Oregon.

        He was preceded in death by parents, his wives, daughter, Lori Trauffer, son, Craig Trauffer, brothers, Dennis Trauffer and Ray Trauffer.
