Robert A. Utley

Robert A. Utley, 57, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died unexpectedly on Monday, January 17, 2005 at Trinity at Terrace Park Hospital, Bettendorf.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2005 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born September 10, 1947 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Emmett & Virginia (Richerson) Utley. On February 4, 1966, he was united in marriage to Linda M. Martin in Carmel, California.
Bob was recently self-employed and in earlier years, served on the LeClaire Police Department and was Chief of Police for 9 years.
His interests included motorcycles, cars and anything related to his work as a police officer.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved wife, Linda; his daughter, Misstie Utley of Davenport; his son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Tracy Utley of Bettendorf; nine grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Utley of Davenport; two sisters; two brothers; and many wonderful friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his father.
