Robert L. Ploog, 62, of McCausland, Iowa, passed away quietly at his home on Saturday, August 5, 2006. A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born November 16, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Carl & Elna (Eckland) Ploog. Robert attended North Scott High School and he ran a small lawn mowing business. He enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends.
Those left to honor his memory include his sisters, Corinne Hilsenbeck and her husband, Ron, of De Witt, Iowa, and Donna McCaughey and her husband, Bill, of Chetek, Wisconsin; three nieces; and one nephew.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
