Ron was born August 20, 1943 in Davenport, the son of Ervin E. & Elaine J. (Huether) Reicks. He was united in marriage to Diana F. Walters in 1966. He later was united in marriage to Sharon K. Huckins in Davenport on November 3, 1983. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2007.

Ron retired from the City of Davenport as a heavy machine operator. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed visiting with them all over the Quad City area including his friends in the Village of East Davenport on a regular basis.

He loved to travel with his wife Sharon almost every year to destinations like Arizona, Florida and Tennessee to name a few. He took pride in his vehicles and his home especially the lawn & yard and he kept them all in pristine condition. He also loved boating on the Mississippi River and had a healthy appetite for food of any kind. He was a very sweet and happy person that would help anyone if he could, and he will be dearly missed.
