Ruth Karen (Hanson) Crawford, 81, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus in Davenport, Iowa.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2007 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
She was born May 6, 1926 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Chris & Agnes Matilda (Benson) Hanson. On July 27, 1944, she was united in marriage to Charles Raymond Crawford in Sioux City.
Ruth enjoyed upholstering furniture and had a avid interest in antique glassware and furniture.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Bettendorf.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles; and her son, Greg Crawford of Davenport.
Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Terry Crawford and Roger Crawford; and by her brother, Eddie Hanson.
