Sandra J. Stone, 60, a resident of Davenport, Iowa died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend her service should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf by 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
She was born October 2, 1943 in Oneonta, New York, the daughter of Franklin & Florence (Faulkner) Knapp. On August 25, 1978, she was united in marriage to Ronald H. Stone in Davenport.
Sandra was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing and spending time with her beloved family.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Ronald; her sons, Jon Peavy of Plainview, Iowa, Andy Stone of Davenport and Harold “Sem” Peavy of Davenport; five grandchildren; her sisters, Kathy Banta of Latham, New York and Nancy McAdams of Groton, New York; and her brother, Richard Knapp of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Stone; her brothers, Bruce, Bob & Billy Knapp; and by her parents.
