Scott A. Houseman, 60, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis in Davenport.

Scott was born on September 28, 1965, in Davenport, Iowa. He built a life rooted in simple joys, strong interests, and the people he cared about most. He was currently employed at Xpac in Milan, Illinois.

Scott had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Kansas City Chiefs. In his younger years, he gave his time and heart to scouting, serving as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 113 in Silvis, where he helped guide and support young scouts. He found great happiness in the outdoors—especially camping—and had a special appreciation for western memorabilia. Scott also had a fun and creative side, enjoying collecting Star Wars-themed Legos.

Above all, Scott will be remembered for the quiet moments he shared and the memories he created with those closest to him. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Matthew Houseman of Silvis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Houseman, who passed away on April 30, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Family graveside services will take place at Rock Island Memorial Park.
