Shirley K. Gill, 80, of Bettendorf passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18th at Hope Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

      Shirley was born on March 6, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of William and Joyce (Gilbert) Reep. On June 10, 1986 she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Gill in Oswego, New York. Shirley worked at various manufacturing facilities in the area. She was an active and revered member at Hope Church in Bettendorf, where she participated in the Women’s Prayer Group and volunteered wherever she was needed.

      Those left to honor her memory are her children, Tammie, Judy, and Lenny; bonus daughter and son, Michelle and Richard; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia and Betty; and brother, James.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; bonus son, Jeff; and sisters, Katherine and Darlene.
