Susan L. Murphy, 65, of Bettendorf, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, in Davenport.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at Davenport Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the services should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf by 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Susan was born March 14, 1948 in Davenport, the daughter of Charles L. & Lola M. “Peg” (Lewis) Johnston. She was retired from the Handicapped Development Center in Davenport after 23 years. Susan will be remembered as a loving daughter and sister.
Those left to honor her memory include her mother, Lola, of Bettendorf; and her sister, Pamela (Richard Kiely) Frisby of Martinez, California.
Susan was preceded in death by her father and an infant son.
