Thomas Teach

July 20, 1940 — March 22, 2016

Thomas Edwin Teach, 75, a resident of Cocoa, Florida and formerly of East Moline, Illinois died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home after a hard-fought battle with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Apostolic Sanctuary, 1501 John Deere Parkway in Silvis, Illinois.  Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Rock Island National Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend this service should have a photo ID available.

Thomas grew up as a young boy in Corning, New York and as a young man, joined the U.S. Navy.  After serving his country, he became a guard at the East Moline Correction Center in East Moline, Illinois.  From there, he moved to Florida to rest, relax and retire!!!

He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.  Those left to honor his memory include his devoted wife, Gloria and her children, Katie Green of Cocoa, James Marble of Cocoa, David Marble in New York and Josh Marble in New York; grandkids, Fayth, Stephen and Skyler; Tom’s three sons, Scott (Linda) Teach of Bettendorf, Iowa, Troy Teach of Blue Grass, Iowa and Greg Teach of East Moline; and other grandkids, Olivia, Emma, Anthony, Kaiden and Talieya.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the A.L.S. Iowa Chapter.
