Vernelle Wilson, 85, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Vernelle was born January 9, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Vern E. & Janet B. (Benedict) Christopher. She was united in marriage to Max E. Wilson on August 28, 1957 in Davenport, Iowa.
Vernelle will be lovingly remembered by her husband Max; a brother, Jack Christopher in Toledo, Ohio and four nieces and nephews.
