Virginia M. Fields, 85, of Davenport, died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center in Davenport.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Oakdale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the West End Alano Club & Café.
Virginia was born August 2, 1929 in Davenport, the daughter of Charles & Emma (Doering) Airgood. She was united in marriage to William J. Fields in Davenport in 1947. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1985.
Virginia was a homemaker and had a heart of gold. She was willing to help those in need and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Rose Mary “Rosie” Fields and Cheryl Mix, both of Davenport; her son and daughter-in-law, Arlyn & Shirley Boersma of Rock Valley, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ronald (Alice) Airgood of South Carolina.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Susan and Alice.
