Virginia Marie Szymanski, 75, of Davenport passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL.

Virginia was born on January 29, 1950, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Goeltl) Szymanski. She graduated from South High School, in 1969 in Omaha, NE. She did clerical work for Truegreen Lawn Care, Davenport for 30 years, retiring April of 2021. She enjoyed crossword and brain teaser puzzles, flower arranging, crafts and cross stitch.

Survivors include her son, Shawn Szymanski of Muscatine, IA., her grandchildren, Christina Szymanski and fiance Kyle Pickeral, Isaiah Szymanski and fiancee Emily Williams, Jeremiah Szymanski, great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Ace Pickeral, sister, Margaret Carpenter, special niece, Tara Miller, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Smith.

A celebration of Virginia’s life will be planned for the spring of 2026 to share the memories, laughter, and joy that she gave to so many people.
