Wiley Earnest Ketner

Graveside services for Wiley E. Ketner, 88, of Bettendorf will be 1:30 pm on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Rock Island National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Family will greet friends on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home. Friends planning to attend the graveside service should meet at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Monday.

Ernie passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. He was born August 3, 1934, in Sevierville, Tennessee, the son of Jesse L. & Beulah M. (Lundsford) Ketner.  On October, 2, 1964 he married Patricia A. Hanson.  She preceded him in death on October 16, 2018.

Ernie was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He worked at Alcoa as a Foil Mill Machine Operator and was a member of the VFW and the Masons.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
