William P. “Bill“ Fisher, 91, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Jack’s Cemetery in LeClaire. Memorials may be made to the family.

William was born December 28, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of John and Hazel (Gilbert) Fisher. On February 10, 1968 he was united in marriage to Patricia A. Kipper in LeClaire. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Bill worked in the plate department at Alcoa for several years. He enjoyed tending to his hobby farm, his garden and orchard. He also enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR, Star Trek and his Farmall tractors. Bill also enjoyed the peace and quiet of rural living.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Patricia Fisher of LeClaire; daughter, Melissa Ion of Princeton, Iowa; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Patrick) Biegert, Matthew Fisher (Morgan LaMar), Amanda (Zach) Ralfs and Madison (Bailey) Trude; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James “Jamie” Fisher; grandson, Zachary Francis; son-in-law, Daniel Ion; and siblings, Hazel Dykes, Dorothy Lister, Jack Fisher, Calvin Fisher and Richard Fisher.
